Two women arrested after police storm Greater Manchester home

Two women have been arrested after police seized a haul of class A drugs during a raid of a property in Altrincham.

Officers made the discovery at an address in Carrfield Avenue yesterday (Tuesday). A mobile phone used in the supply of class A drugs was also seized during the raid.

Two women, aged 24 and 31, were arrested at the scene on possession with intent to supply class A drugs. They remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Sergeant Chris Woodburn, of Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Challenger County Lines Team, said: “Acting on intelligence we believe we have cut another supply chain of drugs involving serious and organised crime gangs.

“We are determined to continue our robust action to tackle this type of crime that has devastating consequences to communities, especially vulnerable people.
