Two pundits agree with Man City vs Wolves score predictions

Manchester City have the opportunity to move one step closer to the Premier League trophy with a win over Wolves when they meet tonight (Wednesday).

The defending champions increased their lead to three points by thrashing Newcastle on Sunday after Liverpool were held to a draw with Tottenham. Jurgen Klopp's side beat Aston Villa on Tuesday to hit back, but remain behind the Blues on goal difference.

Wolves managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit to snatch a draw away at Chelsea at the weekend, which kept their narrow European hopes alive. However, Bruno Lage's side have won just one of their past three home matches and have lost their past three encounters with City.

It’s no wonder, then, that pundits have predicted a relatively comfortable win for Pep Guardiola’s men. Here is what they're saying ahead of the game:

Mark Lawrenson - BBC Sport

He told BBC Sport: “Manchester City are missing a few defenders through injury but, even if Fernandinho has to fill in at the back, I still think they will be OK at Molineux. I don't know what has happened to Wolves, because they are usually difficult to play against and I wouldn't describe them as being that way at the moment.

“I know they came back to rescue a draw with Chelsea on Saturday, but that was more down to a wobble by the Blues than anything else. City's run-in is probably a little bit more difficult than Liverpool's, with Sunday's trip to West Ham probably the most difficult game of the lot.

“But the Reds have to play an extra game in the next fortnight because they are in the FA Cup final on Saturday — so I think it evens itself out.”

Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Manchester City
