Two men rushed to hospital following crash in Oldham

Two men were rushed to hospital following a crash in Oldham. Emergency services were called out to Frederick Street late on Thursday night (January 16).

It followed a crash involving at least two cars close to Werneth Park. Images from the scene showed a black Volkswagen Golf and a white Mercedes-Benz CLA badly damaged in the collision.

Debris could be seen on the ground, including shattered glass. Multiple ambulances were seen in attendance following the collision on Frederick Street.

A cordon was put in place on the road, with a section of Frederick Street taped off. Video footage, seen by the Manchester Evening News, showed a number of bystanders watching on as emergency services worked at the scene.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that two men, aged in their 20s, were taken to hospital for further treatment following the collision. It's thought the incident is not being treated as a serious collision by Greater Manchester Police.
