Two Manchester United players praised after Marcus Rashford scores vs Arsenal

Manchester United supporters waxed lyrical about the work of Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes after the duo played key roles in helping Marcus Rashford restore the Reds' lead against Arsenal.

United, after taking a first-half lead through debutant Antony, were pegged back on the hour mark when Bukayo Saka pounced on some slack defending to grab a deserved equaliser for the Gunners. However, United, despite being under the cosh, produced a moment of magic to get their noses back in front just six minutes later.

Eriksen received a short pass inside, deep inside his own half, and played it forward first-time for Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder then played an outside-of-the-boot pass to send Rashford scampering free, out-running two Gunners defenders, to fire the ball past Aaron Ramsdale.

Rashford, however, was not done there, adding a second goal to his tally just nine minutes later. Again, Eriksen was at the heart of it, racing clear and then putting the ball on a plate for the England international to tap home from close quarters.
