'It's over!' — Liverpool fans think Man City star Erling Haaland will break Mo Salah's record

Liverpool supporters are backing Manchester City striker Erling Haaland to smash the Premier League record set by their own hero Mohamed Salah with some jokingly suggesting he might even do so before top-name stars head away for World Cup duty in Qatar this November.

Haaland, 22, grabbed three goals in the opening 45 minutes to gun down Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night — that was his second consecutive hat-trick after doing the same Crystal Palace — before adding another goal against Aston Villa.

The 10 goals in five appearances means Haaland is the most-prolific starter to life in the Premier League, while his first against Forest saw him become the first player to score seven goals in August since the competition was rebranded in 1992. And the Norwegian superstar is showing no sign of slowing down.

Salah, meanwhile, has scored two goals and provided two assists, with Liverpool only picking up nine points from their opening six matches in the Premier League. And evidently, some Liverpool fans think Haaland has already made the difference for City:
