TUI travel warning to anyone going abroad this week

British holidaymakers have received an urgent warning ahead of expected travel disruptions later on in the week.

More than 40,000 workers at Network Rail and 14 train operating companies are planning on striking in England over unresolved disputes relating to pay, jobs, and working conditions. National Rail has warned that all train operations will likely be affected on July 27, regardless of whether they have a dispute with RMT or not, the Liverpool Echo reports.

TUI has warned passengers to plan their journeys ahead and find alternative travel arrangements to the airport this week. It said: "We’d like to remind customers of a planned national train strike on Wednesday, July 27 which is likely to affect services into airports across the country throughout the day and into Thursday, July 28.
