Tua Tagovailoa: Miami Dolphins QB embarrasses himself with throw to Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was left rather embarrassed during one of his early throws in his first game of the season.

The Miami Dolphins are in something of a sticky situation with their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in 2022, as you could argue that it is a ‘make-or-break’ campaign for him.

Having taken him with the 5th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, with the likes of Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts still on the board, they seemed to make it pretty clear that he was going to be their quarterback of the future, but the way he has been treated so far has made it seem like he is anything but that.

This season the team looked to give him all of the help he could want to become a star in the league as they brought in one of, if not the, fastest wide receiver in the league in the form of Tyreek Hill in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs.

The change of scene for Hill also being a change of quarterback, as he has to adjust to not catching passes from Patrick Mahomes anymore, something that is a pretty big dropoff when it comes to arm talent.

Mahomes threw for 4,837 yards and 37 touchdowns whilst Tagovailoa could only put up 2,653 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, and for Hill who has put up 6,630 receiving yards and 56 touchdowns in his career so far, it might be hard for him to keep up that pace if he doesn’t have the best man behind him feeding him the ball.

The accuracy of Tagovailoa has been a topic of much discussion this offseason, with Hill having to spend a lot of the past few months having to defend Tagovailoa and the way he plays, noting in an interview with The Athletic that Tagovailoa was ‘the most accurate QB in the NFL’

However they seemed to be having a few problems getting to know each
