Triple H: Ex-WWE star reveals SummerSlam moment that made 'The Game' furious

Right up until he was let go by WWE in June 2018, it seemed like higher-ups were really keen on Big Cass.

However, the former WWE Superstar has now spoken about his time with the company, and a particular moment that upset Triple H.

At SummerSlam 2016, four months after getting called up to the main roster, Enzo Amore and Cass teamed up to take on Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.

Before the match, Cass and Enzo cut a promo, as they tended to do at the time, where they sang a Frank Sinatra song, and this really angered Triple H.

Speaking on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast, Cass explained that the pair didn’t know they weren’t allowed to sing copyrighted songs:

I can think of one time when we really messed up. We went off-script at Summerslam in Brooklyn and sang a Frank Sinatra song. You can’t sing or imitate things that are copyrighted. That was a stern talking too. He was furious, Hunter. We didn’t know. We didn’t know those sorts of things.

The 35-year-old recalled the backstage mood after the match had finished, with the pair being lectured for going off-script.

“If you go back and watch that Summerslam, I think it was 2016, they had to cut it. That was something we weren’t told, and then I see we did it and we thought, ‘yeah, New York. We fu**ing crushed it, man!“

Yeah, man, that was on the fly and everybody was with it!’ And then we got to the back and it was like, ‘you! You! Come here!’ And I was like ‘f**k!’

This all comes after it was reported that Triple H also shut down plans for The Undertaker’s son to debut in WWE several years ago, which you can read more about by clicking here.
