Triple H: Ex-WWE Champion unsure about returning under new Head of Creative

Triple H now running WWE Creative has seemingly turned off Rob Van Dam from wanting to return.

Many former WWE Superstars have been more open to returning under Triple H, but that isn’t the same for Rob Van Dam.

The former WWE Champion has explained that his chances of returning to the company were much higher under Vince McMahon, who retired in July.

It seems unlikely that Rob Van Dam is going to follow the likes of Johnny Gargano, Braun Strowman and Karrion Kross in returning to WWE now that Vince McMahon has retired.

Speaking to fellow former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree on his podcast, RVD said that he doesn’t think his fortunes would be better under Triple H than they were under McMahon.

The former WWE Champion explained on the ‘Cafe de Rene‘ podcast that things in better would have been better for him under Vince than they were now under HHH.

Do I like that Vince is no longer with WWE? No. I don’t think there’s anything in it for me because Vince was a friend and there’s no reason for me to believe that the current guy that’s running things has any more interest in me. Just from my selfish perspective, I think it was better for me when Vince was there.

So, if Rob Van Dam is to be believed, we shouldn’t expect to see the 51-year-old on WWE TV anytime soon, despite the fact that he’s now a free agent.

While RVD isn’t heading back to WWE, Triple H has already welcomed back several stars who were either released or let their contracts expire during Vince McMahon’s tenure.
