Triple H absolutely ruined WWE Hall of Famer with brutal 2001 comments

Triple H, as was evidenced by his guest appearance on WWE Tough Enough in 2001, really isn’t the biggest fan of Goldberg.

Triple H was brought into the show for the 2001 season’s third episode, which featured Josh Matthews, Maven, and many other wrestling hopefuls.

HHH was brought in to speak to the wrestlers about the realities of being in the industry, and the little cameo was must-see.

During the spot, Triple H asked one of the contestants who his favourite wrestler was, and he wasn’t best pleased with the answer.

As you can see from the clip above, the contestant said that his favourite wrestler was Goldberg, and ‘The Game’ didn’t take too kindly to that.

Triple H slammed the contestant for his favourite wrestler being someone who “had only been in the business for a year, had everything handed to him, and couldn’t have a match longer than four minutes”.

“If your biggest idol is a guy that’s been in the business for about a year. He got everything handed to him, can’t have a match longer than four minutes, has not wrestled for more than three months straight, because every three months he’s got a hangnail, got a toothache, got a tummyache and he has to take time off, then where does that mentally put that person?”

Triple H didn’t stop there, accusing Goldberg of having no passion for the wrestling industry, a criticism often levelled at him:

“It is about being just a big jacked up guy that stands in the ring, is fed a bunch of guys that really don’t know what they’re doing to mow over. He abuses that. What does it say about somebody that has no heart for what we do? No guts, no heart.”
