Trains between Manchester and London suspended after person dies on railway line
Trains between Manchester and London have been suspended after a person died on a railway line.
Services to and from London Euston station have been hit with disruption following the incident this morning (Wednesday). No services are currently running between Manchester Piccadilly and Euston.
A post on X - formerly Twitter - from Manchester Piccadilly says: "Travel Warning. Due to an emergency incident there are no mainline services between #Piccadilly and #Euston this morning.

Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and Southern train services have been affected by the incident, National Rail said. The disruption is expected to continue until at least 1pm.
British Transport Police said it received a report of a casualty on tracks near Watford Junction station, Hertfordshire, at 6.04am today (Wednesday). Paramedics attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Affected passengers are able to use tickets on some alternative routes. Road transport is also being provided in some areas.
