Trafford Centre reveal huge plans for old petrol station next to M&S - including new Starbucks
Trafford Centre bosses have unveiled huge plans to redevelop a former petrol station site at one of the main entrances into the vast shopping mall. The prominent site sits just off the Bridgewater Circle roundabout, close to the M&S megastore at the Trafford Centre.
The redevelopment will include a brand new Starbucks drive-thru, a car showroom and a new parking area with 47 electric vehicle ultra-rapid charging spaces set to be a "UK first". Bosses are also planning to install a huge new digital advertising screen at the front of the site too with a "vertical living wall" alongside it.
A planning application has been submitted this week to Trafford Council for the scheme. It lays out their big plans to redevelop the former petrol station site, which sits just in front of the bus station at the shopping centre close to the M60.

Once approved, work is due to start early in the new year on the site. Matthew Anderson, Development Director at Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s Asset Managers, said: "We’re pleased to confirm our exciting re-development plans for the old petrol station site at Trafford Centre.
"The development will deliver a brand-new Starbucks Drive Thru, Ultra Rapid Charging Hub, Super Charger Lounge and Car Showroom, plus a new digital advertising screen installation with a hydroponic vertical living wall.
“The plans for this area have been brought forward in collaboration with Starbucks and a marketing leading EV manufacturer and charge point operator. We have worked closely together to design a scheme that compliments both Trafford Centre and the local area, is forwarding thinking, secures biodiversity
