EastEnders spoilers: Lauren's issues resurface as an unexpected kiss causes confusion

It's about to be another gripping week in EastEnders as the pressure continues to mount for some characters on the Square.

On Tuesday, Lauren is grappling with her withdrawal symptoms but rejects Cindy's offer of additional pills. As her symptoms intensify, an unaware Peter rushes Lauren to the hospital, fearing she may have harmed the baby.

A scan verifies the baby's safety, leaving Cindy appalled upon realising that Lauren is still currently using during her pregnancy. Away from Peter and Ian, a fierce confrontation ensues between Cindy and Lauren, with Cindy issuing an ultimatum either Lauren confesses to Peter, or she will tell him everything.

In another part of town, Ruby and Martin receive the heartbreaking news that the donor liver for Roman's transplant isn't suitable. However, doctors confirm that Martin is a match and could be Roman's best chance.

To Ruby's surprise and relief, Martin immediately consents. Lily becomes distressed when she understands that Martin will undergo surgery to save his son, worrying about the potential impact on his other children if something goes wrong.

Later, during a sincere conversation with Stacey, Martin expresses his fears and, in an emotional moment, attempts to kiss her which leaves them both confused.

On Wednesday's episode, Cindy continues to pile the pressure on Lauren while Peter confides in Ian about his fears over Lauren's mood swings as he notices something odd.

Later on, Ian suggests that he should cheer her up by proposing, as it will show Lauren that he'll sticking around to co-parent with her this time.

Meanwhile, Stacey and Martin are both confused by the kiss. Stacey ends up confiding in Jean.
