Traffic diverted as M4 Severn Bridge closed - live updates

Traffic is building on the M4 just before the Prince of Wales Bridge as it has been forced to close following an overnight diesel spillage, from a breakdown at the westbound entry slip at Junction 22.

The incident has damaged the carriageway surface, leaving the road requiring resurfacing. National Highways say it is to remain closed throughout the morning. This is likely to disrupt thousands of commuters this morning, travelling between South East Wales and Bristol.
