Tottenham will look to build on their FA Cup victory over Brighton when they host Southampton in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte’s side were particularly impressive in the first-half against the Seagulls, and now turn their attentions to the league where a top four spot is very much within reach.

Southampton needed extra-time to get past Coventry over the weekend, but before the recent winter break produced one of their best displays of the season to hold Man City to a draw and end the long winning run the league leaders had been on.

Tottenham vs Southampton is scheduled for a 7.45pm GMT kick-off on Wednesday, February 9.

The game will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Eric Dier’s absence against Brighton due to a thigh injury was precautionary, and he may well return to the side against Southampton.

Conte announced in the build-up to that match that Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur were not ready to start, and the pair both made their debuts off the bench.

The Italian will have to decide whether to continue to ease them into English football or whether one, or both, of them will make their first Premier League start.
