Tottenham vs Manchester United LIVE early team news and injury latest as squad members confirmed

Manchester United take on Tottenham in London in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

United began the new campaign with a 1-0 victory against Wolves earlier in the week and although three points were secured, the performance was underwhelming and Gary O'Neil's side felt aggrieved to leave with nothing.

Although Raphael Varane scored the match-winning against Wolves, his centre-back partner Lisandro Martinez was substituted at half-time. Martinez sustained a minor ankle injury but returned to full training ahead of facing Tottenham.

Regarding team news elsewhere, Rasmus Hojlund is still unavailable after signing for the club with a back injury and Harry Maguire, who could leave this summer, wasn't spotted travelling with the squad to the game.

Donny van de Beek, another player who will be allowed to leave, seemed to be absent from the squad for the second time this week.

Former United youngster Jacob Carney is back at the club on trial.

Carney was named on the bench for the Under-21s game against Leeds on Friday night and the Manchester Evening News understands the goalkeeper is on trial after his contract expired with Sunderland.
