Manchester United announced on Monday that Mason Greenwood will recommence his career away from Old Trafford.
A statement from the club United confirmed it has been mutually agreed with Greenwood that "it would be most appropriate for him" to resume his career away from Old Trafford following the conclusion of a six-and-a-half-month investigation.
Greenwood hasn't played for United since January 2020 but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault against the striker on February 2, 2023. The club initially intended to reintegrate him into their first-team squad but U-turned on the decision after a backlash from supporters last week.
Meanwhile, in the transfer market United are considering a late move for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Gravenberch, who played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, has struggled for minutes at Bayern since he joined the Bundesliga champions last summer and United could try to sign him if Donny van de Beek leaves.

Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in October 2022 after allegations emerged in January 2022. The charges were dropped on February 2.
