Tottenham: Fresh claim emerges on Harry Kane's future

Harry Kane will definitely stay at Tottenham this summer if Antonio Conte’s side qualify for the Champions League, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Kane is likely to face further uncertainty surrounding his future in North London in the next window, but Bridge reckons that a top four finish will put talk of the England captain leaving to bed.

12 months on from when his transfer saga with Manchester City got underway, Spurs appear to have another fight on their hands to keep the striker beyond this campaign.

According to the Evening Standard, Kane isn’t likely to decide until the end of the season, although his future could hinge on whether Antonio Conte is backed in the summer.

Kane has always made his feelings clear about wanting to win trophies, something that won’t happen at Tottenham this season after their recent FA Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough.

But the 28-year-old, who’s close to entering the final two years of his deal at his boyhood club, is enjoying playing under Conte, having rediscovered his goalscoring touch under the Italian, with seven goals in his last seven Premier League games.

Manchester United have already registered their interest in Kane and are willing to use Anthony Martial as part of a deal to convince the frontman to move to Old Trafford.

However, Bridge reckons that if Tottenham can overturn the three point gap to Arsenal and finish fourth, Kane won’t be going anywhere.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “If Tottenham finish in the top four, it isn’t even a discussion, I think he stays.”
