Tottenham and Chelsea primed to do battle for potent striker making waves in Ligue 1

Potent Inter Milan forward Martin Satriano who is currently on loan with French side Brest is a transfer target for Tottenham and Chelsea, according to a report.

Satriano seems to be one of the most promising young strikers in Europe. He bagged 12 goals and five assists in his second Primavera 1 season – Italy’s youth competition.

He then made the step up to Inter’s first team. The 21-year-old made four appearances for the senior side before he was shipped out to develop elsewhere.

Satriano has been plying his trade in Ligue 1 with Brest since January. He has made 11 appearances for the mid-table side, starting eight times.

He has shown he knows how to find the net in senior football during his time in France. Satriano has scored four goals for Brest, including a brace against Troyes on his third appearance.

Given his fast development and eye for goal, he has become a target for several big sides. The Mirror reports that both Tottenham and Chelsea are keen on the youngster.

Inter’s financial state is once again described as ‘precarious’ – something that could increase their chances of selling Satriano.

Chelsea’s off-field turmoil currently sees them unable to sign or sell any players. However, those restrictions are due to be lifted when their takeover has been completed.

As such, Tottenham could breeze past Chelsea if they are to make a tempting offer to Inter before their off-field issues are resolved.
