Tony Smith hails Hull KR's character and gives injury updates on Sam Wood and Mikey Lewis

Tony Smith has hailed his side’s character after they secured a Challenge Cup semi-final spot with 34-10 win over Castleford Tigers at Craven Park.

The Robins got off to a strong start in the contest as Elliot Minchella got himself over the line twice in what was a dominant first half showing from the loose-forward.

The win means Rovers are now just 80 minutes from a final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a semi-final at Elland Road to be played next month.

“If you say it quickly it’s really easy to get there, it’s just 80 minutes and you’re in,” Smith joked. “Whoever we get it will be a tough game, but we’re still there and I thought we deserved to reach the next round with the performance there tonight.

“We’ve got a big Easter
