Tonbridge Angels 0 Chesham United 0 match report: Successive goalless draws at Longmead as National League South clash ends in stalemate

Tonbridge are still to score in front of their home crowd this season after drawing a blank against Chesham.

Angels, who drew 0-0 with Slough on the opening day, delivered a second goalless draw at Longmead.

The hosts were neat and tidy in possession but lacked the cutting edge to break down their unbeaten opponents.

Chesham grew into the game as the half wore on but struggled to get in behind the back four.

The hosts were caught playing out from the back as Matt Lench fired over and he later missed the target with a strike from distance, while Alex Lafleur also threatened from outside the box.

Late in the half, Simon and Taylor-Crossdale combined after Allen won possession high up the pitch, and the ball eventually sat up for Peart, whose first-time effort went wide.
