Tomasz Kuszczak says only two Man Utd stars 'safe' under Erik ten Hag rebuild

David de Gea and Dean Henderson are the only Manchester United players whose positions are ‘safe’ under Erik ten Hag’s rebuild at the club, according to Tomasz Kuszczak.

United announced the appointment of Ten Hag as their new manager last week, with the 52-year-old signing an initial three-year deal.

The current Ajax boss will arrive at Old Trafford at the end of the season and is expected to carry out an overhaul of the Red Devils squad.

A number of players are approaching the end of their contracts and are expected to leave in the summer, including the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.

Ex-United stopper Kuszczak thinks there are question marks over every aspect of the current team, except the goalkeepers.

‘Obviously, I expect a lot of changes,’ Kuszczak told the Daily Mail.

‘I want to see my beloved team playing at the right level and not conceding nine goals against Liverpool in one season and two games.

‘It’s shocking and every position is under question, apart from the goalkeeper. David and Dean are very strong. Those are the only two who are safe.

‘The rest, each position you look at there’s always questions. [Cristiano] Ronaldo is doing very well but he’s getting on now and can’t be given so much responsibility at the age of 37.

‘But in summary every part of the team needs to be changed!’
