Isthmian League weekend round-up as Faversham Town win away to close in on Sittingbourne, who lose 3-1 at in-form Ashford United; Chatham Town, Dartford, Cray Wanderers and Welling United claim Isthmian Premier victories

Managerless Faversham Town turned up the heat on Swale rivals Sittingbourne in the race for an Isthmian South East play-off finish on Saturday.

In the second match of Frannie Collin’s caretaker spell in charge after Tommy Warrilow's sacking, the Lilywhites were 2-0 victors at relegated East Grinstead.

Long-serving winger Kieron Campbell broke the deadlock before defender Frankie Smith added a 76th-minute second.

Faversham, in sixth, are now just one point behind fifth-placed Sittingbourne, with two fixtures of the regular season to go, after Reece Prestedge’s troops lost 3-1 at in-form Ashford United.

Captain Gary Lockyer and defender Miquel Scarlett put Craig Stone’s hosts in command at Homelands.

Brickies defender Ben Swift pulled one back, only for Lockyer - Ashford’s 23-goal top scorer - to claim a game-clinching third.
