TikTok star Adam Birks walking 37 miles to Manchester so no one spends Christmas alone

A TikTok star is walking all the way from Stoke-on-Trent to Manchester to make sure no-one spends Christmas Day alone.

Adam Birks, from Stoke, is currently raising funds and recruiting volunteers to throw a huge bash in the city for up to 220 people on December 25.

The 26-year-old, who has 318,000 followers on TikTok and 24,000 on Instagram, is taking on a sponsored 37-mile walk from Stoke-on-Trent to Manchester in a bid to raise more funds. Starting his walk on the afternoon of Saturday (November 25), he is expected to arrive at Manchester Piccadilly station by the end of this evening.

His online followers also plan to contribute towards staging the free Christmas Day event, which will take place from 10am to 4pm, StokeonTrentLive reports.

The social media influencer, who is also a diverse needs support worker, is planning to put on a buffet lunch, along with games, a DJ, free haircuts and presents for all guests. The location of the event is only being revealed to confirmed attendees.

He has been spreading the word about the event by visiting community groups, charities and churches, and has been supported by councillor Lyn Sharpe. Attendees must be over 18 - unless accompanied by an adult - and there will be zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol.

Adam said: "Since I started making videos online I have raised over £400 every month for different charities in Stoke-on-Trent, such as Concrete, YMCA, Hanley food bank, and others. I then decided we would end this year on a high with my campaign 'No One Alone At Christmas' and help as
