Police called after fight 'breaks out during Hamilton at Manchester's Palace Theatre'
Police have launched an investigation after a fight reportedly broke out in the audience during a performance of Hamilton. The highly-anticipated show began its run at Manchester's Palace Theatre this week, with performances scheduled until February 24 next year.
It's one of the world's most renowned musicals, winning multiple prestigious awards, and Manchester is the show's first stop of a UK tour. But some theatregoers at the evening performance on Friday (November 25) allegedly broke out into a fight towards the end of the show.
A post on Reddit claimed two women started shouting at each other, before one 'tried to attack' the other. Greater Manchester Police have confirmed officers were called to reports of an assault at around 10.30pm last night.

The Reddit post described a 'brawl', adding: "Well done to the cast for not letting it distract them. The poor staff were desperately trying to keep them apart."
A GMP spokesperson said: "Greater Manchester Police were called to Oxford Street in the city centre at around 10:30pm last night (Friday, November 24 2023) to a report of an assault. An investigation is ongoing at this time with no arrests made.
"Thankfully, injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening. Anyone with information that may help officers with their enquiries are asked to call 101 quoting incident 3783 of November 24, 2023." The Palace Theatre has been approached for comment.
