Three options for Sheffield United to replace Morgan Gibbs-White's goals
With Morgan Gibbs-White set to depart Bramall Lane following his season-long loan spell, Sheffield United must find a replacement for the 22-year-old's goals.

Those links all but rule out the Blades chances of taking Gibbs-White back to Bramall Lane for next season, leaving Paul Heckingbottom with a gapping hole in his attack.

One option Heckingbottom could turn to is Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle, who has been recently linked with the Blades.
In a world of uncertainty, Gayle is a sure thing. At Championship level, the Magpies striker has always done the business. Back in the 2016/17 season, he bagged 23 goals to fire Newcastle back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
The 2018/19 season saw Gayle join West Brom on loan. Again, Gayle was one of the Championship's top forwards, scoring 23 goals again. Of course, Gibbs-White never operated as a true out and out forward for the Blades, meaning Gayle would not be a straight replacement in a positional sense.
However, he would bring goals, perhaps even more than Gibbs-White. A straight transfer might be out of the question due to Gayle's wages, but a loan deal is something Newcastle would consider.
