Ryan Giles set exciting Morgan Gibbs-White challenge by Wolves for Middlesbrough loan

Ryan Giles has been set a challenge by Wolverhampton Wanderers for his loan spell at Middlesbrough that is sure to excite supporters on Teesside. The new arrival has been told by his parent club to come to Boro and have a similar impact that Morgan Gibbs-White had at Sheffield United last season.

Gibbs-White had a brilliant season on loan at Bramall Lane from Wolves. A key player as the Blades made the play-offs, he made 37 appearances and netted 12 goals and assisted ten more. It was an impressive loan spell that is expected to earn him an opportunity at Molineux in the Premier League in the upcoming season.

And with similar hopes for Giles at the Midlands club, they have challenged the new Boro signing to have a similar impact this term at the Riverside to prove his worth ahead of returning to Wolves next season. Wilder certainly hopes the 22-year-old can have a big impact on Teesside, with his hope that he can rediscover his Cardiff City form that saw him provide nine assists in the first half of last season and help balance Boro's team by adding more attacking intent to their left-wing.

“It’s a level he’s comfortable at. He’s gone to a big club, with brilliant facilities and we like the culture, with a manager who has experienced the top level of the game
