Arsenal winning away at 'big six' sides was something simply unattainable at the end of Arsene Wenger’s tenure and Unai Emery’s short stint too. However, despite his faults, Mikel Arteta has been able to change this trend.

Arteta managed to get Arsenal’s first win at Old Trafford since 2006, beating Manchester United 1-0 in one of few big wins of the season. There was also a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge later that same campaign, completing a double over the Blues and dealing Thomas Tuchel a hit to his then top-four hopes.

That said, Arsenal find themselves now facing Chelsea again after losing three straight matches. The mood a year on from their last win at Stamford Bridge could not be much worse.

Despite this pessimism, perhaps there is some small ray of hope to consider. Arsenal will face a Chelsea side expected to dominate the possession and chance creation metrics.
