This primary school's outdoor space was designed to aid development and 'give children the best possible start'

This is why St Margaret's Primary School in Whalley Range, Manchester, which is dedicated to setting children up with the best start in life, have facilitated an outdoor area specifically designed to aid development and learning in a range of different ways.

The school has installed impressive bespoke outdoor provisions for both reception and early years classes to provide outdoor learning opportunities that help to build social skills, fine motor development, gross motor development, logical thinking, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

As well as this, the provision, which includes a climbing tree and rope swing, a dry river bed with running water, a texture kitchen and a forest school area, could aid your children in their vocabulary and language development, mathematical skills, and provide the opportunity for them to make exciting scientific discoveries.

Tahnee Vasco, deputy headteacher for Early Years and Key Stage One at St Margaret's Primary School, said: "St Margaret's is a three-form entry school in Whalley Range, Manchester. We are a bigger than average primary school, we have a range of children from every diverse background you could probably think of. There's a large number of languages spoken in our school and that's something that we really celebrate and treasure here - it's really important to us.
