The Greater Manchester restaurants named the best in the region in the 2023 AA Guide
The annual list of restaurants to make it into the prestigious AA Guide for 2023 have been announced, and 14 spots have been singled out for praise. The authoritative guide, published annually, sends out inspectors to over 1,400 restaurants in the UK in order to find the best.
Stockport’s Michelin-star hopeful Where The Light Gets In is listed, as is Manchester’s Michelin star holder Mana, alongside other popular city centre like El Gato Negro and Simon Wood’s WOOD. Both Gary Usher’s King Street restaurant Kala and Hispi in Didsbury are listed, alongside popular neighbourhood place George’s Dining Room and Bar in Worsley.
Also featured is The Old Bell Inn in Delph, outside Oldham on the edge of the Peak District. Several hotel restaurants also made the grade this year, including Adam Reid at The French, at the Midland Hotel, Chez Mal Brasserie at the Malmaison Hotel, Hotel Gotham, The Lowry Hotel, Brasserie Abode and Podium at The Hilton.
