This Morning viewers slam 'painful' segment and beg 'make it stop'

This Morning viewers slammed the programme, explaining they were reaching for the "mute" button after hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary churned out an unreal and loud chuckle to test if it was really a mood booster.

Experts on the programme claimed that a counterfeit giggle could help to release good endorphins but judging by fan reaction online, it seemed to have the adverse affect as online users in their masses requested for producers to "make it stop".

Over on X - formerly known as Twitter - ITV fans seemed to be unanimous on the situation as they all churned out similar responses on the popular platform. One person penned: "You can just imagine the ofcom complaints," and another added "my ears are hurting."

A third complaint read: "It doesn't need to take much to make Alison laugh #ThisMorning," as a fourth blasted: "The show is f***ing painful today #thismorning."

"This cheer yourself up segment is making me feel depressed. And why they had to have that recorded laughter to appease Mr Weirdo (with the ponytail beard) I do not know," complained a fifth.

While another demanded: What is this hell?@thismorning is scraping the barrel for 'content' #thismorning." Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Dermot, could possibly be the next TV star to leave the daytime favourite - this is if bookies predictions are to come true.

According to betideas.com the former X Factor presenter has been pipped as the next person to walk out on This Morning. Much like former stars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who exited the programme last year.
