This Morning's Alison Hammond pauses show to issue apology to co-star in awkward segment

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond was left red-faced on Wednesday's show while she was setting the stage for an upcoming segment.

As she informed the viewers that The Speakmans would be on hand in the phone-in to help overcome summer phobias, she suddenly stopped with a revelation.

Interrupting proceedings, Alison owned up to having Eva Speakman's footwear at her place: "Can I just say, I've still got your boots at my house! Literally, she stayed at my house and left her boots."

She continued with an apology: "I keep meaning to bring them back, I'm so sorry, it's just come to mind."

Eva took the slip in stride, reassuring Alison: "It's alright!" reports the Mirror.

Her co-host Dermot O'Leary chimed in, hinting Alison might have used the boots as planters.

Eva, playing along with the jest, retorted: "I was going to say! I bet you've planted something in my boots, haven't you?"

Alison laughed off the playful suggestions and they both swiftly turned their attention to the day's top stories.

This particular episode kicked off somewhat unconventionally as the iconic This Morning theme tune was given a twist by three beatboxers, known collectively as The Beat Box Collective, much to the delight of Alison and Dermot.

In another show highlight, the presenters dipped their toes into beatboxing, with The Beat Box Collective providing them with an impromptu tutorial.

Dermot resumed his presenting role on This Morning after Joel Dommett covered for him over the last couple of days.

With regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard off on their summer holidays, ITV viewers can expect to see a carousel of familiar faces in the coming weeks, including Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Rylan Clark, Rochelle Humes, and Sian Welby.

This
