'There's a good chance' - Brentford update on Christian Eriksen future amid Man United links
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is 'convinced' Brentford have a strong chance of keeping hold of Christian Eriksen this summer.
Eriksen has been in sensational form since returning to football with Brentford in January just a few months on from suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch while representing Denmark at Euro 2020. Despite the terrifying incident, the playmaker has shown he hasn't lost his magic touch, with his five-goal contributions in 10 matches helping ensure Brentford's Premier League survival.
However, Eriksen only signed a short-term deal until the end of the season so will be available on a free transfer this summer. His form has attracted the interest of several big teams, with Manchester United one of the sides being tipped to make a move.

Frank remains optimistic that Eriksen could remain with his side beyond this season. He said: “I would love to say 100 per cent, but I am convinced there is a good chance he can wear the Brentford shirt.
“I know I am optimistic but I also picked up the phone and said, ‘Hey do you want to come to Brentford?’ No one thought about that six months ago. I am convinced we will have a chance.
“The way I will see it for us is it is a win-win. He helped the team, he gave something to the fans they had never seen before at this level. We helped him back to his football life again.
“For Christian, it is a win-win. Either he signs with us and everyone is going to be happy and the fans will build a statue of him outside the stadium in two or three years’ time, or he goes to a bigger level and fans will applaud him and we will all say, ‘Thank you for this time, go forward’.”
