The goalkeeper has hardly been sturdy in his maiden season but does have ability with his feet. De Zerbi’s attacking phases starts with the ‘keeper, who acts like a third centre-back and Onana, for now, fits that bill.

Diogo Dalot

The right-back has shown his credentials going forward, which would put him ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order. De Zerbi is keen for his full-backs to overlap and underlap his wingers and Dalot is the best at that at the club.
