The way to stop bed bugs from entering your home as British woman finds one 'crawling up her leg'

A woman is claiming that she saw a 'bed bug' crawling up her leg on London underground, stoking fears that the outbreak in Paris is already here in the UK.

On TikTok, an insect similar in size to a bedbug could be seen on the woman's trouser leg and she urged Transport For London (TFL) to "sort it out", The Mirror reports.

So how do you stop them entering your house?

Here are some expert tips you can follow to minimise the chance of the difficult to remove pests entering your home.

It's also important to note that TFL have said that they aren't aware "of any outbreaks in London," but they are "continuing to closely monitor our network" and are "continuing to implement our rigorous and thorough cleaning measures". Equally, an expert has noted that the insect in the video may not have been a bedbug, because it isn't flat enough in shape.
