The spaceship beer garden offering arcade games and intergalactic-themed drinks this summer

A popular arcade bar in the city centre has opened its very own spaceship beer garden just in time for the summer where people can enjoy intergalactic-themed drinks.

NQ64, located on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter, features a range of retro arcade and console games, including the likes of Pac-Man, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, Time Crisis and Point Blank.

Already a popular venue for gamers and those looking for a unique place to visit, the bar opened its new Cosmic Terrace last week featuring table top games and a retractable roof that is ready for whatever kind of weather Manchester has in store this summer.

To coincide with the opening of the outdoor area, NQ64 has announced a string of new drink additions to its menu that will continue on the space theme, including a sharing cocktail served with Rocket Lollies.

The Rocket Fuel cocktail, which features Absolut Raspberry vodka, Strawberry liqueur, Pineapple soda and Robinsons’ Summer Fruits squash, is served in a giant towering dispenser that can be enjoyed for up to six people.

There’s also a bunch of new alcoholic slushies available for the warmer days, including Frozen Margs and Daqs featuring Hooch. The colourful drinks have been described as being ‘guaranteed to elevate drinkers’ summer sipping experience to extraterrestrial heights’.

Amongst the new additions to the games roster available at NQ64, customers can enjoy classics including Super Street Fighter Turbo 2 and Sensible Soccer from the comfort of the beer garden.
