The shock free transfers Wolves could sign to boost Bruno Lage's charge for Europe

Wolverhampton Wanderers will continue to monitor the free agent market outside of the transfer window.

January passed without Wolves making a significant addition to Bruno Lage’s squad, while Adama Traore was allowed to join Barcelona on loan.

Wolves never intended to replace Traore immediately and a successor wasn’t sought before Monday night’s deadline.

Pedro Neto is Traore’s natural replacement in the first team squad, and Lage hopes to be able to utilise his compatriot in the second half of the season.

Wolves seem to have sorted their issues at centre-back by recalling Toti Gomes from his loan spell at Grasshoppers. Romain Saiss will imminently return from Africa Cup of Nations duty following Morocco’s exit, and Yerson Mosquera is nearing a return to fitness.

Lage has also publicly admitted he wants a "different striker" to first choice frontman Raul Jimenez.
