The PSV and Rangers rammy troublemakers branded 'mindless' as Dutch pundit seethes on live TV
One Dutch commentator has branded those involved in a post-match rammy brewed between PSV and Rangers on Wednesday night "mindless".
Tensions flared at the end of a bruising night for Michael Beale's side, who lost their Champions League playoff second leg 5-1 and 7-3 on aggregate following a 2-2 draw at Ibrox last week. A defensive mishap from Connor Goldson saw him put one past Light Blues keeper Jack Butland and a James Tavernier effort did little to remedy the woe that Ismael Saibari's double, a Luuk de Jong header and Joey Veerman's efforts brought.
It all resulted in some fiery words exchanged between winger Noah Lang and Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin, with both men eventually pulled away from each other as an all-out scuffle ensued in the middle of the Phillip Stadion pitch. And Dutch commentator Vincent Schildkamp was far from happy with what he saw and insists it was something that should never have happened.
He said as the images of Lang and Raskin appeared: "Get out of there. Don't go looking for hassle. What do you have to gain there? It's not about anything. Use your mind. Enjoy the victory. Don't provoke. Unbelievable that you end up in such a situation."
BBC commentator Liam McLeod said on the scuffle from inside the stadium: "For some reason Nicolas Raskin has got himself embroiled with two or three PSV players.
"There's a bit of shoving and not sure if anything worse than that. There was certainly a head-to-head or two and Todd Cantwell got involved as well, then it was a member of stadium staff that pulled Raskin away from two or three PSV players.
