Danilo puts in Rangers hard yards as new signing trains solo in bid to overcome stuttering Ibrox start

Danilo was a big-money arrival for Rangers but so far it has been stop-start for the Brazilian forward.

But the recruit from Feyenoord has managed only a handful of appearances so far under Michael Beale, with some of the Ibrox persuasion crying out for the 24-year-old to be deployed as the main striker. Cyriel Dessers and Kemar Roofe got the nod in a powder-keg derby defeat to Celtic, with the likes of Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers getting game time. But Danilo has only seen 160 minutes of action in the Scottish Premiership, although did score against Greenock Morton and Livingston.

His signing was one that excited Beale after the hitman helped the Dutch giants to league title glory last season, but his exclusion has pundits and fans alike believing the striker may be some way off it. However, he has looked to ease fears and is using the international break to train, seemingly alone, to up his fitness.

Danilo shared a video to his Instagram of him doing sprints in the baking heat of an unnamed location, although Ibrox sleuths have surmised it's not Scotland. The Brazilian has not been capped internationally for the senior squad, and has managed a measly 3 minutes of action for Brazil's Under-23s back in 2020.
