The Kasper Schmeichel Celtic quality that means world to Brendan Rodgers as dad Peter explains back seat career role
Peter Schmeichel has revealed the one stand out word Brendan Rodgers uses when talking about his son Kasper.
The Celtic No1 was in top form once again as the Hoops suffered late heartbreak in the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich in the Champions League play-off round. The veteran stopper moved to Parkhead in the summer and has already penned the option in that contract to take him through until the end of next season. But during his time at Leicester City, a training ground trip had him break his promise to offer some friendly advice after his son and his team had won promotion to the English Premier League. He also revealed the trait that always comes up in chats with Celtic boss Rodgers - something he believes is from Kasper's upbringing watching the 'Class of 92'.
Speaking on 'The Rest is Football' podcast, hosted by Gary Lineker and Micah Richards, he said: "When I speak to Brendan Rodgers about Kasper. Brendan obviously was his manager at Leicester and now at Celtic. These are the things he says 'Kasper brings standards. He brings standards to the dressing room. He is such an important character for that'. I think that is all from watching the Class of 92 and everybody else at
