The Greater Manchester garden named one of UK’s most Instagrammable you need to visit this summer

A Greater Manchester garden has been named among the most Instagrammable in the UK, according to new research. Dunham Massey ranked third in the list which looked at the best gardens in the country taking pictures.

The research, compiled by the life insurance team at Compare the Market, looked at the number of Instagram hashtags and the average monthly search volume to find the ‘most Instagrammable’ gardens. Trafford-based Dunham Massey amassed 76, 252 hashtags with an average monthly search volume of 60,500.

Kew Gardens in London, topped the list. An impressive 772,529 people have shared photos of the gardens on Instagram, and they also see an average of 301,000 Google searches per month.

Coming in second place is another local spot: Tatton Park in Knutsford. It amassed 196,796 hashtags on Instagram, with an average search volume of 60,500. The park is home to 50 acres of landscaped gardens, including a 100-year-old Japanese Garden.

Researchers also looked at the most Instagrammable locations across the world. Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay came out on top, followed by the Netherlands’ Keukenhod and Brazil’s Jardim Botanico. Unfortunately not UK gardens made the worldwide list.

Dunham Massey features acres of beautiful parkland, a 17th-century house, and extensive gardens, including the Rose Garden and one of the UK’s largest winter gardens.
