The feel-good factor is back at Newcastle United thanks to two key reasons

All wins in the Premier League are great wins, and Newcastle United have now picked up two in the space of a week. They may not be vintage performances but it's now nine matches unbeaten going into Chelsea.

That's a fantastic achievement from a team that have been questioned and people queried whether they had the mentality to handle the situation. And they absolutely have, and that's credit to Eddie Howe and his staff, the new players and the ones who were there already.

You see so many players who played under the previous manager who are now playing at the top of their game, look at Ryan Fraser, Joelinton, Jonjo Shelvey and Fabian Schar. The good thing against Brighton last weekend at home was the lads showed that when they needed to fight and dig in they were able to find it.

As a manager, you need a team who can win playing good football but also when it turns into a battle they are able to provide it. That's what Eddie has at his disposal at the moment.

The good thing for him is that he's finding it difficult to get some players in the side. As a manager that is a brilliant feeling to know everybody is fighting for a spot.

There is a real wave of possibility around the place now and that's off the back of good results. Go back to the week before the Burnley game and not many believed Newcastle could stay up.

But now they could actually do it with a great number of games to spare thanks to this unbeaten run. The positivity around the club is fantastic.

The owners have moved Alan Shearer's statue to the premises, changed the name of the bar back, have had ex-players in the director's box and now have had the Chronicle around the table in the chairman's suite. These are all very positive moves.
