The Chase's Paul Sinha devastated over error as ITV quiz airs one of biggest wins

This week on The Chase, viewers witnessed one of the show's most impressive victories to date, with two contestants taking home a staggering £100,000 prize.

Contestants Karen and Ian faced off against Chaser Paul Sinha in a series of tense rounds before making it to the final chase. Their triumph was palpable, with Karen succinctly expressing her joy with a single exclamation.

In a crucial moment, host Bradley Walsh posed a question to Paul Sinha that could have changed the game: "Lesley Manville played the widow Cathy in what BBC sitcom?" Sinha incorrectly guessed Last of the Summer Wine, leading Bradley to interject with, "Stop the clock, that is wrong! " and pass the question to Karen and Ian.

Despite their confusion over defining a sitcom, which led them to suggest soaps like Coronation Street and EastEnders, they ultimately failed to identify the correct answer, Mum.

With only one second remaining, Paul Sinha hastily answered his final question with "Green!", which was also incorrect. As the clock ran out, Karen and Ian were declared the winners, prompting Bradley to offer his condolences to Paul while Karen jubilantly exclaimed, "Yes!"

Overcome with joy, Ian rushed to embrace Karen as they realised the incredible sum of money they had just won. In hushed excitement, Karen uttered: "Oh my God!" while Bradley quizzed: "That was close. Six attempts to push back, only two executed. The chaser needed one. What did you guess at the end there, green?", reports the Mirror.

The poser that clinched their fortune was: "What type of reptile is a jacky dragon?" and indeed it was a "lizard" the correct answer.
