The big Celtic and Rangers questions answered in Scottish Cup final Monday Jury special

KEITH JACKSON: Yes. They were second best all over the pitch and looked like they had run out of gas long before the end. But this is a side which knows how to win and their rivals simply don’t have the same mental strength.

CRAIG SWAN: Yes. They delivered the big moment. Celtic did not play well in the second half and it was there for Rangers, but they couldn’t do it.

ANDREW NEWPORT: Rangers were the better team for once this season but finals are about the winning. They’d much preferred to have been outplayed but walked off with the silver. If you don’t take advantage when you’re on top, you can’t complain about losing to a sucker punch.

GAVIN BERRY: They were second best but that doesn’t matter - winning is all that matters. So yes they deserved to win it. They took their one big chance and Rangers, for all their possession, didn’t trouble Joe Hart enough apart from the disallowed goal.

KEITH: It’s certainly worth a shot. Hart wants to bow out before he’s past his sell by date but he won’t be easy to replace. If Rodgers can’t find an upgrade in the transfer market then it’s a conversation the manager might want to have.

CRAIG: No. The keeper has made his decision and has the right to stand by it. It’s time. Celtic need a new No.1.

ANDREW: He’s been a fine servant during his three years in Glasgow but there have been moments - especially in the Champions League - where his age has showed. It’s time for Celtic to bring in fresh blood.

GAVIN: It’s worth a try but it looks like that ship has sailed he would be wasting his time. Listening to the Englishman’s interviews it’s clear that he’s made up his mind and isn’t for budging. It’s not a decision he’s made on a whim and has already accepted a Euro 2024 punditry role,
