Joe Hart compares Celtic swansong to Toni Kroos Real Madrid finale as he reveals next career steps

Joe Hart has given his biggest hint yet over his career next step after his Celtic exit.

The veteran Hoops No1 called time on his playing days at the end of the current season and bowed out on a high as he added another Scottish Premiership triumph and Scottish Cup winners' medal to his impressive CV. The former England international enjoyed some big moments and nights across his career for both club and country as he gets ready for a new chapter.

Many would predict the 37-year-old would take to coaching and pass on his wealth of experience and wisdom to the next generation - but Hart feels coaching isn't 'necessarily' for him and admits working in the pundit and media world really appeals to him. He will get a first taste as pat of the BBC's cast of pundits for the Euros and he can't wait to offer his insight and analysis alongside the likes Micah Richards, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.

He told the Mirror: “It’s not just TV because I also feel I can give something back on the content side. I do feel I want to give back and I don’t necessarily feel coaching is for me. This is something that really appeals to me. It will be great to be back with Micah Richards, I’ve worked with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer before and it’s an exciting line-up. I’m really looking forward to working with them.”

Celtic have made a real impression on Hart and it is a club he will cherish in his heart forever. After arriving under Ange Postecoglou, he quickly established himself as the first choice and held that position for the duration of his three years at the club - including last season under Brendan Rodgers.

Hart paid special tribute to the Hoops faithful once more as he admitted it was a tough season with the league battle with Rangers
