The 20 players who have left Manchester United since Erik ten Hag arrived and where they are now

Erik ten Hag put the final touches on his Manchester United squad this summer and has now had three very busy transfer windows to do so.

Having arrived at United last summer, the Dutchman has spent big in an effort to improve his squad and catch the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal. Outgoings have been equally important as he attempted to trim the fat of a bloated squad.

Ten Hag has overseen the exit of many fringe players, ruthlessly deciding that they had little or no chance of regular first-team football. He also had a few exits - Cristiano Ronaldo the most notable of them - of first-team want-aways.

Since the manager's arrival at the start of last summer, 20 players have been moved on permanently. Here, we take a look at what those names are now up to.

Eric Bailly: Remained a United player beyond deadline day in England despite being up for sale all summer. Ended up joining Turkish side Besiktas on Tuesday, calling time on a mixed seven-year spell with the club.

Dean Henderson: After expecting to join Nottingham Forest for much of the summer, the 26-year-old ended up moving to another Premier League side in Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson's side paid £20m plus add-ons for the goalkeeper, who had been with his boyhood club for 12 years.

Teden Mengi: Joined Luton Town for their debut Premier League campaign in August, opting for a permanent deal rather than a loan. The 21-year-old had been with United for 14 years.

Fred: Subject to interest from across Europe this summer, Fenerbahce won the race for the 30-year-old midfielder, with United accepting around €10m for his signature. Fred has already played four games for his new club.
