Tete sets Celtic transfer tongues wagging as winger on the runway amid Brendan Rodgers reunion hype

Celtic transfer target Tete is at something of a career crossroads with the Brazilian winger pondering his future as he dropped a social media hint.

The former Leicester City wide man has been touted for a reunion with boss Brendan Rodgers after the Irishman brought the Shakhtar Donetsk man to the King Power before he made his sensational return to Celtic. The 23-year-old has told powerbrokers in Ukraine he plans to rip up his contract in search of a move this summer, due to the ongoing invasion of the country by Russia. The Brazilian, however, was coy on where he might end up next with many clubs cited with interest.

Celtic have recruited Marco Tilio on the wide front after losing Jota in a money-spinning move to Al-Ittihad, a transfer that banked the Scottish champions a hefty £25million to spend. And while it was a key trait of Rodgers' first stint in Glasgow, the 50-year-old himself admitted there need not be an influx of wingers this time. Yet Tete seems to be pondering a life outside of Ukraine, as he sent sleuths into a frenzy snapping a picture on an airport runway.

The youngster shared the photo to his Instagram as he was getting on a flight to an unknown destination. Crucially, the snap was accompanied by an emoji representing thought, and seemingly one to depict his current tough situation.

Yet he played his cards close to his chest when quizzed on his future this month, as he told Ukrainian media: "We haven't decided on the future club yet. We are studying very carefully, but we are not in a hurry to make a decision just yet. There are many teams interested, but right now everything is decided by my agent.
