Tesco shoppers fuming over 'criminal' change to lunchtime meal deal

Tesco has raised the price of its lunchtime meal deal - and shoppers are not happy.

The combo, which includes a sandwich, pasta or salad as a main, a snack and a drink, used to cost £3.40 with a Tesco Clubcard or £3.90 for non-members.

But from today, August 22, the standard meal deal will cost £3.60 for Clubcard members and £4 for those without. It marks the second time Tesco has hiked the prices of its popular lunch combo in two years.

Another said: "Tesco meal deal is now £3.60. The end is near," while a third added: "They’ve changed the price of a Tesco meal deal to £3.60 I can’t take this no more."

A fourth commented: "Tesco
