Teenage boy rushed to hospital with 'life-changing injuries' after being struck by car

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with life-changing after being struck by a car. The collision was reported at around 8.50am on Monday (September 18) on Loushers Lane, Warrington.

Emergency services raced to the scene and found that a Toyota Aygo had hit the 17-year-old boy, who was a pedestrian.

The road was cordoned off as the teenager was taken to Aintree Hospital having sustained what police believe to be possibly life-changing injuries. He is currently receiving treatment.

Cheshire Constabulary have launched an investigation and now appealing for any potential witnesses or anyone with video footage of the crash to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said; "Shortly after 8.50am on Monday 18 September police were called to reports of a collision on Loushers Lane, near to the junction of Secker Avenue, in Latchford. Officers attended and found there has been a collision between a car, a red Toyota Aygo, and a pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy.

"The pedestrian sustained possible life changing injures; he was taken to Aintree Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any dashcam footage. The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or ring doorbell footage."
