Tammy Abraham teases Premier League return as transfer links "make me feel good"

Tammy Abraham has hinted that he could return to the Premier League in the future after admitting that he the speculation surrounding him has bolstered his confidence.

The England international has been a sensation since swapping life in London for Rome when he signed for Jose Mourinho's AS Roma in the summer transfer window. After being cast aside by Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, the striker was keen to revitalise his career abroad.

And he has done that and more after becoming an instant hit at the Stadio Olimpico, already forging himself as a fan favourite following his brace against Lazio in one of the most heated derbies in Europe - the Derby della Capitale. But there has been speculation that a return to the Premier League is not too far off.

Arsenal are desperate for a striker and Abraham fits the bill while a return to Chelsea has not been ruled out amid their woes with Romelu Lukaku. And while the rumour mill kicks off into overdrive, the 24-year-old has admitted that he is not ruling anything out.

He told talkSPORT : “When I see reports linking me with other clubs it makes me feel good, it makes you feel like you’re doing something right. It’s a nice feeling seeing your name all over newspapers.

“But for me it’s about focusing on doing my business here. I can keep getting linked with many clubs but who knows what the future holds? Of course I grew up in England, I’m a London boy. So maybe one day I’ll be back in the Premier League to make noise there.

“But for me right now it’s about focusing on Rome, on doing the best I can and hopefully winning these guys a trophy which they haven’t done in many years.”
